Cité Universitaire - Information

Cette page n'a pas encore été traduite, mais voici l'information en anglais:

The main entrance of Cité Universitaire is located at 19-21 Boulevard Jourdan. It is right across from the RER station "Cité Universitaire". In principle, you can find maps there or at 27 Bd Jourdan. Please do not forget to bring you TOWELS AND SOAP, as they are not provided in IAA and in A&M. In Argentine, you also need to bring your SOAP.

Below you will find detailed instructions on how to reach your residence. You can also find a map of the Cité Universitaire on the Web at http://www.ciup.fr/citeaz/plan.htm. The "Restaurant Universitaire" and the cafeteria are located on the ground floor of the "Maison Internationale", the left wing of the main building (Nr 22 on their map).

ARTS ET METIERS

(Nr 27 and 27bis on their map) Enter Cité Universitaire through the main entrance, go past the first building, make a right, then a left (so that you are now walking on the right side of the Main building of the Cité Universitaire), and go straight until you reach the second intersection (roughly at the corner of the main building). Take the alley going slightly to the right, until you reach a fork. Take the right path of the fork, and walk straight until you reach a circle: in front of you is the renovated building of La Maison des Arts et Métiers. However, you need to pick up the keys in their old building. You choose the path that will take you on the left of this building and to a gangway over the Boulevard peripherique. Follow the gangway over the boulevard péripherique (you'll understand why you need to keep your window closed at night), and the building to the right is the old Maison des Arts et Métiers. The entrance is somewhere towards the middle of the building. Ring the bell. During day time, someone will buzz the door open. At night or in the evening, there is a guard that will open the door for you. If noone answers, this means that the guard is doing his rounds: be patient, he will come back soon, and do not wake up everybody.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING: the key to your room is a card, which allows you to open the door to your room, and the doors to the toilets and bathrooms OF YOUR GENDER. This is why we asked for your gender, and you should check that they give you the correct type of card. The doors have springs and close automatically: DO NOT FORGET your card inside your room, because you will be locked out!! If that should happen, of course you can go to the old building and ask someone there to help you, but it is not the most pleasant thing to do in the middle of the night.

La Maison Heinrich Heine (Nr 36 on their map), which serves breakfast, is two building left of the renovated building of A&M, when you have your back to the Boulevard Jourdan (and so face the Boulevard péripherique).

INDUSTRIES AGRICOLES ET ALIMENTAIRES

(Nr 32 on their map) Enter Cité Universitaire through the main entrance, take the alley left after the first building, and continue until you reach an intersection. At the intersection, turn left (and go back towards the Boulevard), then follow the alley to the right: La Maison des Industries Agricoles et Alimentaires is the second building on your left, take the path leading to the entrance.

Alternate route: follow the Boulevard Jourdan left from the main entrance, until you reach a gate. Enter the Cité Universitaire through that gate, you have two alleys in front of you: take a left, la Maison des Industries Agricoles et Alimentaires is the second building on your left, there is a path leading to the entrance.
